Abstract
The solubility of stable and metastable solid phases above and below the peritectic temperature T_p in Sr(NO_3)_2-H_2O peritectic system were determined by observing in situ the growth and dissolution of the two phase. Both solid phases grew simultaneously below the liquid lines with respect to the two phases. However, when the two phases collided, the metastable phases dissolved. The resultant structures formed above and below T_p Were different due to the dissolution rate of the two phases.
