Abstract
Mating disruption by two disruptants was compared Adoxophyes orana fasciata by field tests. A binary mixture of (Z)-11-tetradecenyl acetate (Z11-14:Ac) and (Z)-9-tetradecenyl acetate (Z9-14:Ac) indicated high trap shutdown and a higher level of control than the single compound of Z11-14:Ac. It is necessary to control both A. orana fasciata and Archips breviplicanus, therefore the mixture of Z11-14:Ac plus 20% Z9-14:Ac is the best mating disruptant. Following success of mating disruption of A. orana fasciata with this new mixture will lead to further decrease in the need for pesticides.
