The aim of this study was to determine factors associated with the task performance of various employees at a regional comprehensive support center. These factors may guide the development and fostering of abilities in the future. We conducted an anonymous self-administered questionnaire-based survey among employees with three distinct occupations (nurses, social workers) and chief nursing care support specialists), working at a regional comprehensive support center in the Kanto Region. We assessed job attributes, such as the consideration of regional characteristics during various activities for care prevention, development of a support system for regional residents, workplace team approach, the protection of privacy, and the awareness of expertise. Using factor analysis, we identified five key factors, including “connection that considers continued living in the region”, “pride and development of a career as an expert,” “supporting increase of motivation and self-actualization,” “risk management,” and “cooperation using a team approach and professional expertise.” The tasks required for comprehensive job performance were diverse, and the abilities respondents identified as necessary for task performance were “professional expertise” and “humanistic qualities.” Our results indicate a need for environments where all three types of occupations could maximally utilize their expertise while developing and fostering such abilities.
