Abstract
The aim of this survey was to define the status regarding teaching materials, facilities, and equipments in experimental cookery classes, and consider their problems. The following results were obtained. 1. The main problems regarding the experimental cookery class, pointed out by teachers, were as follows : Restriction on time, restriction on materials, and work-load of teachers. 2. Similar teaching materials were used both in junior and senior high schools. It is suggested that teaching materials should be reorganized so as to suit the grade levels. In addition, it is necessary to examine whether or not experimental cookery as a teaching method should be changed to observation method. 3. The equipments prepared for class use were insufficient.
