In order to clarify the possibility of nutrition education for the lower and middle grade pulils in elementary schools, this study investigated the related nutritional terms in TV-commercials and their recognition of schoolchildren. The results were as follows: 1. There were many nutritional terms in TV-commercials for foods especially in drinks. Moreover the terms of vitamin group were numerously used on TV-commercials. 2. The lower and middle grade pupils knew most of the nutritional terms before the study of home-making education. 3. TV-commercials produced more effects on shopping for the lower grade, and so consumer education is requested from the early stage.
