maintain close relationships. The effectiveness of the lesson plan was evaluated through feedback from student questionnaire and worksheets. the tape recording of the lesson, and teachers' remarks. Results are as follows: 1. The number of students who devised to maintain the friendship increased after the lesson was completed. 2. Through role-plays, most students became aware of the feelings and situations of other people. Over a half of the students came to think that they should verbally express their caring for others. 3. Making a picture frame drew much attention from the students. The students made efforts in expressing their appreciation through creating a handmade picture frame. 4. The students learned about creating an enjoyable time and atmosphere for friends and others by creating cooking plans, activities and invitations for a tea break. 5. Learning about creating and maintaining relationships step by step increased students' awareness of the importance of human relationships in their lives, and enabled them to translate that awareness into action.
