Abstract
Purpose:We studied surgical outcomes one year postoperatively orbital fractures in 9 patients undergoing autologous bone reconstruction. Methods:We evaluated (1) postoperative complications in the orbital area and at the donor bone site, (2) vision problems in daily life, (3) double vision in the oculomotor limit region, and (4) ocular motility disturbance in the Hess test. Results:No postoperative complications such as inflammation or infection were seen. Extremely slight infraorbital nerve hypesthesia occurred in 2 cases. No patients reported double vision in daily life. Ocular motility in the Hess test was essentially normal except for extremely slight oculomotor limit double vision in 3.
