A 40-year-old man presented with a bulge in the right inguinal region.
A chicken egg-sized bulge was found in the right inguinal region, and a CT scan of the abdomen revealed a possible Amyand’s hernia. Therefore, in addition to the inguinal incision method, laparoscopic examination and surgery of the abdominal cavity was recommended. The pathological diagnosis was mesothelial cyst. Laparoscopy was useful in the diagnosis and treatment of a cystic mass in the inguinal region, which was difficult to diagnose preoperatively.
