Proposal of a measurement method for ascertaining the actual situation of the left-right difference in endoscopists' radiation doses

Abstract

When medical radiation is used, shielding the physician with protective clothing is important . However, in endoscopic procedures, the physician’s standing position vary for each procedure. As a result, there is a possibility that the exposure dose differs between the left and right side. This study investigates a method to measure the actual difference in exposure doses caused by the variations in the endoscopist’s techniques and standing positions.
