Abstract
This study is a continuation of the earlier work, and presents an attempt to obtain additional informations with regard to the same previous experiments, in which quick and corrective hand movements are executed. The informations have been sought as a step toward building a factual basis for applying the smooth motion to general machine motions.
Living things, including human being, have a number of excellent functions for their activities or behavior, and they act in the way of various smooth, soft and beautiful motion. Especially, the motions will be found in the human performances of gymnastics, dancing, playing instruments and in many other activities.
For the purpose of making the smooth and soft motion clear, this paper describes about the change of maximum acceleration, maximum deceleration, maximum rate, time to maximum rate and time to complete response due to the rough and corrective linear hand movements, and also discuss the motion patterns affected by the length of excursions and the value of carrying weights.
When the acceleration curves are linearized, the relation among the ratio of maximum acceleration and maximum deceleration p, the time to complete response T and the time to maximum rate β is shown as follow,
T=β(1+p).
