Abstract
The cooperative control method of a man-machine system is known as a technique to improve human operator's subjective control rating. In this paper, using the method to manual hovering control of a VTOL (Vertical Take Off Landing) aircraft, the effects of improvement of operator's behavior on pitch attitude control are considered experimentally. As a result, it is shown that the cooperative synthesis of the man-machine system so as to improve behavior of the human operator is useful method, if the cooperative selections of the value of aircraft damping factor and display augmented feedback gain are available.
