Abstract
Many researches about skills have been mainly concern about complex works and little researches have been for simple tasks. In this paper, an investigation of the skill level of E-ring insertion operation is conducted for 63 workers who had different working experience. From this investigation, following four characteristic values were adopted as an evaluation index; such as (1) Maximum Overrequired Pressure, (2) Total Pressure [insertion period], (3) Total Pressure [after insertion period] and (4) Maximum Holder. As a result of the investigation, it was revealed that there were differences on the skill level even if it is easy work like E-ring insertion operation and work experiences had little effect on improvement of the skill level. Operation of workers was analyzed in terms of three-classified groups divided by depending on their skill levels. It was pointed out that the education of expertise knowledge, the training of basic skills and the training of practical skills were necessary according to their skill levels to improve the E-ring insertion operation efficiency.
