The best Method of Disinfection for hand and fingers

Abstract

  To avoid cross contaminations and make a perfect aseptic dental treatment, the most important measure is to begin with disinfection for hand and fingers.

  There is no complete disinfectant for hand and fingers therefore, without using sterile brush I use several types of disinfectants with good results.

  Before putting on gloves, hand and fingers are washed with

  1. Quaternary ammonium salt,

  2. Povidone-iodine,

  3. Benzalkonium chloride with ethanol for disinfection, and after putting on gloves, their surfaces are washed with the above agents
