Abstract
In this report, the theory for the single-load cableway mentioned in the Report 1 are expanded for the case of the cable span carrying multiple carriage-loads. The author gave two series of the theoretical formulus for the cable of the fixed-end system and for that of the counterweight system, by which he showed the method of the numerical calculation for this case; and also suggested the method of the calculation in which the influence of the elastic elongation of the main cable is taken into account. To determine the maximum tension of the tractor-cable or to examine the kinetic behavior of the carriage of the gravity cableway, it is necessary to solve the problems for the cable when a carriage-load is infinitly approaching to the upper or the lower end of the span. An exact method of calculation for this case was given by the author.
