Light-sensitivity in the germination of Fraxinus mandshurica var. japonica seeds

Abstract

This is the first species in Fraxinus the seeds of which proved to require light for germination. Those seeds are sensitive to light, however, only for certain period after compound stratification. Irradiation should also be followed by alternating temperatures.
