Voice therapy is the first choice for treatment of mutational voice disorder. Although voice therapy is effective, intractable cases are occasionally encountered. The present study was performed to evaluate laryngeal findings and vocal function before and after voice therapy for mutational voice disorder. The subjects were four patients diagnosed with mutational voice disorder, all male. The Kayser–Gutzmann (KG) method was used for all patients. In one case, inspiratory phonation and the KG method were used together. The results showed that a natural voice was obtained in 3 of the 4 patients. The 3 patients who acquired a natural voice showed improvements in their MPT, F0, vocal range, PPQ, and APQ. The patient who could not obtain his natural voice showed resistance to a low-pitch voice, due to long-standing vocal habits, and had difficulties in producing a voice.
