Abstract
The purpose of this study is to consider the course of child's assertive behavior (what is called agrressive behavior) from it's beginning to the end in conjunction with the reduction of his disfluencies, through the analysis of treating one male stutterer in early childhood holding one year history after it's onset according to the Pendulum Hypothesis (Hayasaka, K. & Uchisugawa, H., 1983), and to investigate the validity and efficiency of the treatment technique towards the sudden stuttering onset type due to emotional disturbances.
As far as the therapy situation was concerned, disfluencies of this case decreased rapidly following the calming down of his assertive behavior after the peak of it about 5 months after the beginning of his treatment. In his home situation, however, Pendulum have not been able to swing enough actually because of several preventing factors, that is, his mother being at work, his tather being transferred to another locality, and his entering school in near future.
Carring on our treatment activities about one year, it has been firmly acknouledged that the enviromental pressures around him were the most ones of the factors reinforcing stuttering in this case, J.I., obtaining the latest stuttering-onset type due to emotional disturbances.
We may suppose it the most important task after this to promote the increasing his tolerance enough.
