A Case of Human Immunodeficiency Virus Infection Discovered from Oral Symptoms

Abstract
It reported on a case diagnosed with the oral symptom as HIV infection. The patient was 34 year old, a Japanese nationality man, and had diarrhea and the losing weight of an uncertain cause for one month, and he visited to the Department of Oral Surgery with chief complaints of intraoral pain. A thin white lesion was seen by the corners of the mouth mucous membrane, it an indistinct boundary with erosion and redness. The white lesion with fur, a crack, and redness was seen in the tongue. It was diagnosed by the blood examination as acute Hepatitis B, syphilis, and HIV infection. Consideration of the report cases in Japan that had been diagnosed from the oral symptoms as HIV/AIDS was added.
