Abstract

Verruciform xanthoma is a rare tumor of the oral cavity.
A case of verruciform xanthoma on maxillary gingiva in 41-year-old male is presented. The lesion is clinically difficult to distinguish from papilloma or fibrous hyperplasia.
Light and electron-microscopic appearance were reviewed.
A literature survey was carried out on the data concerning the verruciform xanthoma.
