Abstract

The stress ulcer is an acute peptic ulcer of the upper digestive organ that is frequently caused by various stresses. We experienced a case of stress ulcer following pharyngeal fl ap operation on a 7-year-old girl.
In our case, she was fortunately healed by conservative treatment but we suggest that it is important to manage patients, especialy children, carefully after oral surgical operations because the post operative stress ulcer can easily become a fatal complication such as perforation or massive hemorrhage.
