Abstract

Two cases of metastatic tumors of the mandible are reported.
The first case, a 61-year-old male, was large cell carcinoma in the lung metastasized to the left mandible.
The second case, a 75-year-old male, had papillary tubular adenocarcinoma in the stomach metastasized to the left mandible. In this case, metastatic and primary carcinoma were found at the same time in one oral region. Histologically, metastatic tumor of the mandible was papillary tubular adenocarcinoma from the stomach and primary tumor of the maxilla was squamous cell carcinoma arising from maxillary sinus respectively. Metastatic tumor of the mandible was detected 8 years after gastrectomy. For these reasons, this case was especially rare and unusual.
