Abstract
Intravascular papillary endothelial hyperplasia (IPEH) is an unusual, benign, non-neoplastic vascular lesion characterized histologically by papillary fronds lined by proliferating endothelium. It may occur in any blood vessel in the body but is most common in the head and neck region and the fingers.
Reports of IPEH of the oral region are rare in Japan. In this report, we describe a case of IPEH of the tongue.
