Abstract
The Bone Marrow Transplantation Committee of the society has conducted an annual registry of bone marrow transplantation in children in Japan since 1983. As of June 30, 1986, 233 patients had been transplanted and registered from 39 institutes. Bone marrow transplantation was performed in 65 cases of acute lymphocytic leukemia (25 alive), 41 cases of acute nonlymphocytic leukemia (24 alive), 9 cases of chronic myelocytic leukemia (8 alive), 16 cases of non-Hodgkin's lymphoma (9 alive), 42 cases of malignant solid tumors (18 alive), 35 cases of aplastic anemia (30 alive), 18 cases of severe combined immune deficiency (7 alive), and 7 other cases (4 alive).
