Abstract
We present a case of pulmonary nocardiosis in a 17-year-old nephrotic patient receiving corticosteroid and immunosuppressant. Roentgenologic examinations showed cavitary lesions in the periphery of left S6. Gram stain of the specimen collected by bronchial washing revealed filamentous microorganism, that was identified later as Nocardia nova. Detecting this microorganism by light microscopy much helped for bacterial culture and making diagnosis of pulmonary nocardiosis.
