Abstract
We made a comparative study between TSB below-knee prosthesis with ICEROSS system and PTB below-knee prosthesis in five below-knee amputees. All patients evaluated that the TSB prosthesis was better than the PTB prosthesis in respect of security during gait and overall estimation. In the kinematic study, the peak values of the perpendicular component of the acceleration in the terminal swing phase and in the initial stance phase were smaller statistically in the patients with the TSB prosthesis compaired with the PTB prosthesis. There was no statistically significant difference in the range of motion of the knee joint between both prostheses.
