Abstract
In order to realize an ideal trimming method for electron beam therapy of irregular superficial lesions, some measurements including those of scattered electrons from trimming material, depth dose curve and braking radiations were performed and described. Electron beams (8-12 MeV) from Toshiba Linear-Accelerator LMR-13 were used, and the followings were concluded. Lead plate, 5.7 g/cm^2 thick, inserted into the electron beams l-2cm apart from the surface of the skin is quite suitable for a trimming material. For the purpose of reducing of the braking radiation, Mix-Dp block as thick as the range (in Mix-Dp) of primary beams, inner side of which are framed by lead plate of 2mm thickness, is also suitable.
