THE STUDY ON RADIOGRAPHY FOR THE LUMBAR SPINE OF THE PATIENTS WITH SPINAL CORD INJURY IN PRONE POSITION (I. Radiographic Technique in Orthopedic Region)

Abstract

To obtain clear X-ray films of the lumbar spine of the patients with spinal cord injury who were hard to maintain supine position, two radiographical methods were carried out. In method I the SID assumed to be the curvature radius, around 60 cm, and in method II the SID was fixed 120 cm and the tube angle was 7° toward head. Our study indicate that the radiography of lumbar spine in the method II was clear compared to the method I, since the SID of method I was quite short.
