Abstract

In case of the general radiography among the radiographic technics, there are engaged in slightly more numbers of single phase 2 peak generators than 3 phase 6 or 12 peak generators, in Japan. We must take radiography of various body parts with many radiographic technics in the general radiography, and the short exposure time radiography is a common technic through the general radiography. Especially, the short exposure time technic is essential to the chest and the baby radiography. On this point of view, 3 phase 6 or 12 peak generators which have greater X-ray output and fine exposure time control, are more suitable X-ray machine than single phase 2 peak. Large current short exposure time radiographies by 3 phase generators have some problems in X-ray linearity failures to the X-ray tube currents and the exposure times and percent-ripple change with milliamparage. Recently, there introduced the inverter type X-ray generator in Japan. The inverter type machines have the same X-ray output as the 12 peak generators and better features which are accurate control by microprocessor technic, tube voltage feed back technic and so forth. To apply this type of generator to the general radiography, the characteristics of dynamic respons are reported in this paper and high quality radiography can be taken constantly by this machine.
