Abstract
In stereotactic radiosurgery, it is essential to match the target's coordinate obtained in treatment planning with the irradiation coordinate. The positional accuracy of irradiation becomes more critical when radiosurgery is conducted with a linear accelerator, in which treatment is completed through multiple arcs. The authors experimentally irradiated known coordinates according to data obtained from angiography, portgraphy and computed tomography. We also evaluated clinical cases in terms of irradiation accuracy by using portal images(40 cases, 72 points). The results indicated that the precision of our stereotactic radiosurgery system is ±0.3 mm. According to the evaluation of portal images of our clinical cases, the irradiation accuracy was within approximately ±0.3 mm on each coordinate, x, y, and z.
