Abstract
Prognosis of pancreatic caner is poor. We report two cases with surgical resections of the lung metastses from pancreatic cancer. The first case was 75-year-old male. A lung mass was detected 48months after distal pancreatectomy for pancreatic cancer. Right lower lobectomy was performed. Another metastatic lesion was also resected 5months after initial lung resection. He died of multiple metastatic diseases of pancreatic cancer 37months after the lung operation. The second case was 81-year-old male. A lung mass was detected 51months after pancreatoduodenectomy for pancreatic cancer. Right lower lobectomy was performed, there is no recurrent disease at 6months after lung operation. Preoperative diagnoses were primary lung cancer in both cases. Immmunohistochemical study of the primary pancreatic tumor and the lung lesions revealed that both lesions were metastases from the pancreatic cancer.
