Abstract
We performed laparoscopic liver resection using a hybrid-technique for an 8-cm hepatic hemangioma complicated with displacement of the bile duct and cholestasis. After laparoscopic mobilization of the liver, we encircled the major liver vessels (hepatic arteries, main branches of portal vein, and hepatic veins) from the 8-cm mini-laparotomy. After ligation of the left hepatic artery and the left branch of the portal vein, liver resection was performed using a modified hanging maneuver. Finally, resection of left hepatic duct was performed, followed by clamp and resection of the left hepatic vein. Postoperative clinical course was uneventful, and the biliary scintigram showed recovery from the cholestasis.
