Abstract
We report the case of a 59-year-old man who underwent a left radical nephrectomy for renal cell carcinoma (RCC, clear-cell type, G2 T1bN0M0 stage I). Brain metastasis was found, and craniotomy and postoperative radiotherapy were performed. Multiple lung metastases were found, and he was treated with pharmacotherapy. At 29 months after nephrectomy, he presented with black stools. Esophagogastroduodenoscopy revealed a semi-pedunculated tumor in the body of the stomach. Partial gastrectomy was performed to prevent bleeding or perforation. Immunohistology confirmed the diagnosis of metastatic RCC.
Gastric metastasis from RCC is rare. We report a case of gastric metastasis from RCC treated with surgical resection.
