Abstract
This report describes a case of invasive ductal carcinoma arising in a phyllodes tumor in a 59-year-old woman with breast cancer. The patient had been diagnosed with fibroadenoma with an atypical intraductal lesion by core needle biopsy and underwent tumorectomy. The diagnosis after tumorectomy was invasive ductal carcinoma within a phyllodes tumor. The patient received postoperative radiation and adjuvant endocrine therapy. We summarized the reported cases, noting the characteristics of an invasive ductal carcinoma occurring within a phyllodes tumor.
