Central venous stenosis (of the subclavian vein, brachiocephalic vein, and vena cava) is often encountered in patients with chronic kidney disease (CKD) undergoing hemodialysis. As the number of CKD patients have a long period of illness has increased steadily with population aging, the chances of encountering this conduction have increased. Endovascular therapy (EVT) has recently been applied in hemodialysis patients with central venous stenosis. Stent migration is uncommon but can potentially cause serious complications during EVT for central venous stenosis. Here, we report a case of right subclavian venous stenosis treated with stents that migrated to the right ventricle and required surgical removal. If a migrated stent is entrapped in the heart, especially in the right ventricle and its tricuspid structure, EVT may damage the heart, cause complications, and may be fatal. Surgical removal (e.g., cardiac surgery) is safe in such cases.
