WFAS 2025 Stockholm: Report on the Executive Committee Meeting and Annual International Symposium on Acupuncture-Moxibustion

Abstract

The Annual Meeting of the World Federation of Acupuncture-Moxibustion Societies (WFAS) was held from 19 to 21 September 2025 at Scandic Infra City in Upplands V?sby, Sweden. This report summarizes the 3rd session of the 10th Executive Committee Meeting and provides an overview of the International Symposium on Acupuncture-Moxibustion. At the Executive Committee meeting, reports were presented on the 2025 activities and financial status of WFAS, the progress of the "Blue Book of Evidence for Clinical Acupuncture Research (2024-2025)," the development and implementation of WFAS international standards, and the plan for thematic symposia scheduled for the second half of 2025. Proposals were also discussed regarding the appropriate use of the WFAS name and logo and the collection of historical materials for the upcoming 40th anniversary project. The academic conference featured an opening ceremony, keynote lectures, parallel sessions, workshops, and poster presentations, offering opportunities to review current research trends and emerging international agendas in acupuncture and moxibustion.
