WFAS2024 International Symposium on Acupuncture-Moxibustion, London 2024 World Conference on Traditional Medicine, Beijing

Abstract

WFAS 2024 International Symposium on Acupuncture-Moxibustion was held in London, UK, from October 11 to 13, 2024, hosted by the World Federation of Acupuncture-Moxibustion Societies (WFAS) and the China Academy of Chinese Medical Sciences. The theme of the 2024 conference was “Promoting Acupuncture Research and Clinical Applications,” with experts from around the world gathering to discuss the future development of acupuncture medicine. Additionally, the WFAS Executive Board meeting was held on the afternoon of the first day, October 11, where the 2024 annual activity report and proposals for the 2025 fiscal year were reviewed. Furthermore, from December 3 to 4, 2024, a large-scale 2024 World Conference on Traditional Medicine was held in Beijing, China, to promote the implementation of the World Health Organization (WHO) Traditional Medicine Strategy. The theme of the conference was “Diversity, Inheritance, Innovation: Traditional Medicine for All,” and over 2,000 experts and government officials from around the world gathered to discuss the development of traditional medicine and international cooperation. This time, I was invited by WFAS China to participate as a panelist in the Exchange Dialogues, a discussion with representatives from various countries. In this article, I will report on the two conferences: the 2024 WFAS London Conference and the World Conference on Traditional Medicine.
