Abstract
The purpose of this investigation is to seek the distribution of the induced velocity of a rotor in forward flight.
Several analytical reports have been published on the induced velocity field of rotors having non-uniform disc loading, but they have not suCCeeded to express the irresults by utilizable analytic functions.
In this report, we substituted a circular wing for a rotor under suitable assumptions, and using the antisymmetric solutions of acceleration poten- tial of this circular wing, we could express the effect of antisymmetric disc loading to the distri-bution of induced velocity of the rotor by analytic functions.
During this investigation, we could also clear out a correlative relation between the load and the induced velocity distribution along the lateral direction.
