Abstract
The induced drag is considered for a selnielliptic front view wing with both tips in close proximity to the ground surface, assuming that the lift distribution is optimum. The theoretical characteristics are qualitatively similar to those for other chordwise-gapped wings, when the gap width becomes very smal1. Numericalcal culations are given for a particular case of the semicircular wing.
