The experimental study of fracture stress dependence on the dynamic crack propagation in linear viscoelastic solid was performed. The experimental results using PMMA show similar tendency predicted by the BERRY's theoretical analysis for truly brittle material. It was found that the dynamic crack propagation velocity greatly depends on the fracture stress in this case as well as in glass.
