Abstract
KIDA and MIYAI's theory on the minimum induced drag of nonplanar ground effect wings with small tip gaps is reviewed and modified. The derivation of the outer solution is substanltially simplified and reduced to an elementary procedure. A trivial error in obtaining the total lift is corrected, although it does not affect the final results. The final formulas obtained here are applied to the semi-circular and _??_ shaped GEWs.
