A crucial factor in getting a submitted draft to be accepted for publication by a prestigious journal is having an appropriate study protocol. In the protocol, the question(aim)of the study should be clearly presented. The primary outcome measure, in principle, should be directly related to the question, so that the results regarding the primary outcome measure can be the answer to the question presented. Methods of determining the sufficient number of patients(usually power analysis) as well as inclusion and exclusion criteria should be clearly specified. Appropriate statistical analyses should be chosen and details of the statistical analysis should be provided. The conclusion of the study should be based on the primary outcome measure, not secondary outcome measures.
