Anesthetic Management in a Case of Eclampsia with Abruptio Placentae

Abstract

A pregnant woman with eclampsia and abruptio placentae underwent cesarean section under general anesthesia with O₂-N₂O-sevoflurane and vecuronium. For control of hypertension, continuous infusion of nitroglycerin before birth was applied following the administration of PGE₁ after birth. Her serum magnesium level was increased, and action of vecuronium was prolonged.
