Abstract

A case of malignant melanoma arising in uterine cervix of a 68-year-old woman is reported. The tumor had giant cells with bizarre nuclei, prominentnucleoli, abnormal cytoplasm and melanin pigment.Immunocytochemically, tumor cells revealed expression of HMB-45. Cytology and immunocytochemistry were very effective for diagnosis and to understand biological behavior in the tumor.
