Land Subsidence Phenomena in the Southern Part of Saitama Prefecture During Recent Years (1968-1971)

Abstract

Formerly, subsidence area over 100 mm were almost restricted in Kawaguchi and Nakagawa lowlands, but recently such remarkable subsidence has been observed in Musashino and Kitaadachi uplands and attained 200mm near Asaka city. This phenomenon may be related the compaction of delvial deposits.
