Abstract
This paper presents test results of physical properties.and the relation among them on about 100-rock specimens at many dam sites. The values of specific gravity, absorption, compressive strength, Young's modulus of them are considered from the lithological view point. Through them, it is found that the above properties of rocks will depend on the size of mineral particles, and that there will be the following two groups in rocks; one group is the rocks containing most of micro particles or clay minerals, and the other group clearly visible mineral particles.
