Abstract
We developed a system that allows gait analysis for both prosthetic limb users and able-bodied participants, and measured the mechanical data in various walking scenarios. Our system is composed of two six-axis load cells bound in flexible plastic in the sole of a shoe that allows mechanical information to be collected from both the forefoot and heel areas of the bottom of the foot. In addition to the shoe, flexible electrogoniometers that measure the ankle and knee joint angles were included in the system. We performed gait analysis for 20 healthy participants using the system.
