Abstract
In recent years, the superselective intra-arterial rapid infusion chemotherapy is improving good results to various kinds of head and neck cancers, and an effective example has come to be seen also to advance external auditory canal cancer. This department -- before an operation of several years before to external auditory canal cancer -- the superselective intra-arterial rapid infusion chemotherapy is enforced as medical treatment.
It was three examples of advance external auditory canal cancer that the external auditory canal cancer operation of six examples was enforced by past seven-year, and preoperative superselective intra-arterial rapid infusion chemotherapy was enforced before long. The amount of one intra-arterial infusion used was CDDP 100 mg/m2 TXT 20 mg/body. Among three examples, in biopsy into the trap, although surgical margin near a jaw joint package became negativity and permeation in a jaw glenoid cavity was suspected by before an operation, in two examples, it was possible to have preserved a lower jawbone. There are no complications critical during these medical treatments, and it will be non-carcinoma survival as of postoperative 2.
A possibility useful as a 1 medical-treatment choice which can expect the improvement in quality of life and the excision rate of advance external auditory canal cancer and a patient of this method is high.
