Abstract
Merkel cell carcinoma is an uncommon cutaneous tumor which arises in adults with a peak incidence in the sixth and seventh decades. We describe the case of a 61-year-old female with Merkel cell carcinoma in the left auricle. An excision of the tumor with a wide margin and left selective neck dissection followed by radiation therapy were performed. The patient has remained free of disease for 5 years after the treatments.
