Abstract
A 69-year-old woman was referred to our hospital because of hoarseness. Laryngendoscopic examination revealed that the right vocal cord was fixed in the paramedian position, and therefore right recurrent laryngeal nerve paralysis was suspected. Neck and chest CT showed right cervical and paratracheal lymphadenopathy. An open biopsy was done. Histological examination of the resected right cervical lymph node revealed large and small epithelioid granuloma tissue with central necrosis. Considering the results of culturing, we diagnosed tuberculous cervical lymphadenitis. The patient was treated with anti-tuberculous therapy. The right laryngeal paralysis improved after half a year of treatment.
