Abstract
In November 2018, the da Vinci Surgical System was approved under the Pharmaceutical and Medical Device Act for the head and neck region, and in February 2019, the TORS training program was announced with the approval of the Japan Head and Neck Surgery Society. The training program led by the academic society can reduce differences in technique of TORS and can be carried out more safely and reliably. A questionnaire survey was conducted to determine whether pre-training endoscopic laryngopharyngeal surgery had an effect on the learning curve.
In this paper, we report on the initial stage of this program.
